Lennar makes $10.8M land buy in Crossprairie – GrowthSpotter

Homebuilding giant Lennar has expanded its presence in Osceola County’s Crossprairie master-planned community with a $10.8 million land purchase. This acquisition adds to Lennar’s growing portfolio in the area, as the company has already invested in other nearby communities such as Tohoqua and Pine Glen.

The purchase covers all the residential lots in the ED-2 neighborhood, which is part of the former Edgewater DRI. The ED-2 neighborhood is strategically located near the community’s future urban center and the Tohoqua master-planned community. With this latest acquisition, Lennar is well-positioned to meet the increasing demand for housing in Central Florida.

BTI Partners, the master developer of Crossprairie, has plans for 655 residential lots and a neighborhood commercial center in the ED-2 neighborhood. Lennar’s purchase includes the first phase of this development, comprising 73 townhomes, 153 rear-loaded bungalow homes, and 97 front-loaded 50-foot home lots.

This expansion by Lennar reflects the rapid growth and tight housing market in Central Florida. By acquiring large tracts of land and partnering with homebuilders, BTI Partners aims to expedite construction and increase the housing supply in the region.

Westlake Opens Four Models In New Townhome Neighborhood – Town-Crier Newspaper

Minto Communities USA has unveiled four furnished models for its new townhome neighborhood, the Terraces of Westlake. With prices starting in the mid-$300s, these homes offer a rare opportunity to purchase new construction in a lifestyle-focused community at an affordable price point in Palm Beach County.

The two-story models showcase floorplans from Minto’s Courtyard Collection, including the Rose, Ivy, and Coral. These townhomes feature three to four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, two-car garages, and front-entry covered lanais. The interiors boast 9-foot, 4-inch ceiling heights, island kitchens with granite countertops, energy-efficient appliances, and walk-in closets. The building exteriors offer two distinct architectural styles: Coastal Contemporary and Urban Transitional.

The Terraces neighborhood is situated near the Westlake Fitness Trail and offers 250 townhomes, some with views of the adjacent lake. This marks Minto’s second townhome neighborhood in Westlake, following the successful sell-out of the Crossings townhome neighborhood earlier this year.

Prospective buyers can take advantage of the Welcome Heroes program, which provides a three percent discount on the purchase of a new Minto home for public servants such as active military, police officers, firefighters, teachers, and healthcare workers. Westlake homeowners can also enjoy the amenities offered at the $22 million Westlake Adventure Park.
